If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service description
Specific Resume is an AI-powered resume builder that helps you create job-specific resumes. You provide information about your background — through conversational text or voice input, file uploads, and links to your LinkedIn, GitHub, or portfolio — and the Service maintains a persistent candidate profile from which it generates a tailored resume against any job description you submit. Resumes are exported as PDF.
The Service is actively developed and features may change over time.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. Account registration
To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. User content
4.1 Your content and profile. “User Content” means any information you provide to the Service, including the persistent candidate profile, your resume content, work history, education, skills, job descriptions, uploaded documents, and data we fetch from links you provide (LinkedIn URLs, GitHub profiles, portfolios, personal sites). You retain all ownership rights in your User Content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, transmit, and display your User Content solely to provide and improve the Service.
4.2 Accuracy and no fabrication. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of your User Content. You represent and warrant that:
- All information you submit is truthful and not misleading;
- You have all rights necessary to upload, share, or link any material you provide;
- You will not use the Service to misrepresent yourself to any employer or third party, embellish or invent credentials, or claim experience, qualifications, or affiliations you do not actually have.
The Service does not verify factual accuracy. Misuse of the Service to deceive employers is a material breach of these Terms.
4.3 AI-generated content. The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate resume text and suggestions based on your User Content. AI output is provided as a suggestion only. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving every piece of AI-generated content before you send it to any employer. We do not guarantee that AI output is accurate, complete, or error-free, and AI output does not constitute professional career, legal, or any other advice.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information about yourself or anyone else
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service except as expressly permitted
- Interfere with the security or operation of the Service
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service
- Use the Service to infringe any third-party intellectual property or privacy rights
6. Payments and credits
The Service offers a free trial and paid credit packages. One credit allows you to create one job-specific resume. Credit packages are one-time purchases described on our pricing page. Prices are shown at checkout in the currency Lemon Squeezy presents based on your location.
Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. This means Lemon Squeezy is your contractual seller for the purchase, while Specific Technologies Inc. provides the Service itself. Lemon Squeezy handles checkout, billing, invoicing, and the collection and remittance of any applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST in your jurisdiction. Final amounts charged include any tax Lemon Squeezy is obligated to collect.
Validity and use of credits. Each credit package has a validity period starting from the date of purchase. During this period, you may create and edit resumes using your available credits. After the validity period expires, you may no longer create or edit resumes under that package, but you may continue to download PDF exports of resumes you have already created. Credits are non-transferable and unused credits expire at the end of the validity period.
Refunds and disputes. Refund and dispute handling flows through Lemon Squeezy. Beyond legally-required refunds and statutory consumer rights, all sales are final. Where you have expressly consented at checkout to immediate provision of the digital service and acknowledged that your right of withdrawal will be lost upon use, that right is waived once you generate your first resume from a credit pack, in accordance with Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (and the UK equivalent).
You may purchase additional credit packages at any time.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code, AI systems, and branding, is owned by the Company and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you only a limited right to use the Service as described here. If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us an unrestricted, perpetual, royalty-free license to use them without obligation to you.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (including AI, hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics). The full list of providers we share data with is in our Privacy Policy. Your use of those providers’ services is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for the availability or practices of any third-party provider.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, abusive behavior, or as required by law, with reasonable notice when possible. Upon termination, your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR FREE OF ERRORS.
No guarantee of recruitment outcome or ATS compatibility. We do not warrant that any specific applicant tracking system (ATS), recruiter, employer, or hiring platform will accept, parse, score, or favorably consider any resume produced by the Service. Outcomes vary by ATS vendor, role, and human discretion. Use of the Service does not guarantee employment, interviews, or any particular outcome.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) US$100.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or any third-party rights.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms, and any dispute about your use of the Service, are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Disputes about payments are governed by the terms under which Lemon Squeezy, as Merchant of Record, sold you the product.
Disputes between you and us shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, either party may pursue binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association rules in Wilmington, Delaware. You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to class actions or class arbitration. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on the Service with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. General
If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
